MASOC 2013 -#25 & Sunday Event

Topic created by Orienteer7 on Fri May 3, 2013 at 3:16 pmBig THANK YOU! to Bob Gross, Ed Scott, Doug Sevon, Tim Walsh and Ralph Tolbert for showing up at 9am Friday 5/3/13 to help get controls and water into the woods.
The weather forecast could not be much better so we expect to see everyone in the woods either Satruday afternoon after the Scout event or Sunday 10-1 normal start times.
Remember this is the 25th anniversary of MASOC ...so if you have never seen one you should try to get out to FCSP on Saturday between 9am and 2pm. At 2pm is the mass start and that alone is worth coming out to see.
Here is the course line-up for both days.
White 3.2km 40m 9 controls
Yellow 3.3km 70m 11 controls
Orange 3.9km 110m 11 controls 1water stop
Brown 4.km 95m 10 controls 2 water stops
Green 5.9km 145m 12 controls 3 water stops
Red 7.7km 225m 13 controls 2 water stops
Wear your sunscreen. Make some sun tea and be prepared to have some fun.

Course 1 & 2 data is entered and there are no long range projections available. Usually I can flip through the pink cards and know the top two or three troops in a couple minutes, but this year it will be a photo finish.Thanks to all who helped during the weekend. It is a long list. Saturday's is on paper somewhere in the pile, Sunday's is scattered amongst my brain cells. More later... back to the stack of pink stubs.

Here are some raw numbers for MASOC 25. Does not include leaders (and a few Scouts ) that were there, but did not participate on the courses. Non scouts that participated will show up in Sunday's results. -
