A great weekend with lots of volunteers giving of themselves for our club.
All of us that gave something towards making this event so great should be proud, it took all of us to get it done for DVOA.  Yes Sandy, Valerie, the course setter, vetters, start crew, results crew, arena crew, and tech. crew all gave the greatest amounts of time and without them the event would never have happened but they all needed all of us to support them in all of the ways that we did.  DVOA as a whole should be very proud of the  great event that happened this weekend at PEEC.

I've gotten tons and tons of compliments on the event and I kept saying that it was all due to the efforts of all the volunteers.  There were a bunch of people that devoted a lot of hours in the months and weeks leading up to the event, but when it came to making it all happen we had a LOT of people step up over the three days and do what needed to be done.  THANK YOU to each and every one of you.

Did anyone catch the coverage on TV 13 on the 5:00pm news show on Friday night?  Is it worth trying to get a copy of the coverage?

I watched (a little) and monitored (a lot) the DVOA doings at NAOC from a hospital bed (nine days); and I must say, that the flavor was - all good; competence, bells and whistles; a website updated real-time; great AttackPoint comments from folks that matter (and are often critical); some great individual DVOA performances; then the RouteGadget fun for me (I think I could NOT have managed the sprint).  What a club we are!  To clear up once and for all my medical situation, in highly technical medical terms, I had major surgery involving my innards.  I am suddenly ten pounds lighter, will not be orienteering this fall, have had something big-deal fixed once and for all, and I am extremely happy about it.  In addition to WMOC 2050, I am now aiming right at NAOC 2014.  Be well.  Avoid the nasogastric tube!

What a phenominal weekend - Sandy, you and your team raised the bar for USA Orienteering Events to a whole new level. My friend Martin from the UK was totally impressed all round and believes others from Europe will be more likely to make the trip in future, knowing the exceptionally quality of all aspects of the event.

    Hugh,
Hope you make a speedy recovery

My first A meet was a lot of fun! I'm a little late to the party on this thread but I finally got around to downloading some photos.

Thanks everyone for working so hard to make this event so special.  Missed you there, Dad, but I'm so glad you've got your sights set on 2014.  :)
