Washington Crossing on Sunny Sunday
-
Topic created by bobburg on Fri Oct 28, 2011 at 10:31 pmAs you've read on the home page, we are open for business tomorrow, nor'easter be damned, for all the brave folk who want to compete but cannot make Sunday's continuation!
BUT, we plan to amp up on Sunday for a busy day once the horizontal rain and snowflakes have fled northeast.
Yes, we will welcome Scouts and JROTC who can arrange the change in logistics.
Yes, we will be offering the Ultimate String-O (thanks, Nate).
Yes, all three Sprint courses will be burning up the woods around Greene Grove.
And Yes, all the normal courses, White through Red, will be rearing to go once the map is placed in your hands and you punch the Start box.
So we invite you to show up in force. Give the weather gods their due on Saturday, then come out of your caves, to beat back the premature entrance of Winter. After all, this still is the month of October -- you know, leaves crunching under your feet, clear blue brisk skies, easing slowly into winter's hibernation. That October.
See you in the woods.
