O-Suits Update

Topic created by sfmones on Mon Oct 17, 2011 at 9:41 amThank you to all members who have purchased club shirts the past few weeks. You acquired some sharp-looking attire, and the club acquired funds with which to purchase essential items such as more green ink to feed the printers for events at Hibernia, White Clay, French Creek, etc.
We are now out of all DVOA club shirts and pants, as well as Chasing the Stars shirts. We have a good stock of Hickory Run Rocks long sleeve shirts in Blue, Brown, and Black. I will continue bringing them to future events.
A number of members have approached me about ordering DVOA club shirts and pants in the future. There has also been some mention of possibly changing or updating the design of the shirts, and possibly the supplier. In order to provide us with some idea of the demand for a new order, we are soliciting member feedback as to the following-
Are you interested in puchasing a club shirt if more were obtained (and, if so, how many)?
What size(s) would you need (just an estimate)?
Prefer long or short sleeves?
Form fitting or looser fit?
If you presently own a shirt and/or pants, are you satisfied with the quality?
How do you feel about the present logo and design?
Would you be interested in purchasing matching pants?
There has also been some interest in getting a new supply of DVOA hats. Please let me know how you feel about that.
How about regular cotton t-shirts with our logo on it in addition to the official (and more expensive) club shirts?
If there is sufficient demand for the above items, perhaps the Board can authorize purchases in the future.
I look forward to your responses.
Steve

Reply by WindWalker on Mon Oct 17, 2011 at 9:40 pmI am interested in a shirt, size med, loose fitting, short sleeve.
Present logo is OK, but would be cool to have a new updated racey logo too. The ones with flames I've seen in some older pictures looked cool.
Yes on matching pants as long as they fit and are of the more performance level. (ie coolmax)
Yes on a hat if it is a vented running hat, no to a baseball cap.
Yes to cotton T-shirt.

Reply by furlong47 on Mon Oct 17, 2011 at 10:11 pmAre you interested in puchasing a club shirt if more were obtained (and, if so, how many)? Yes, 1, as long as it was somewhat different from the shirts we have now.
What size(s) would you need (just an estimate)? S or M in men's sizes, L or XL in women's
Prefer long or short sleeves? Short sleeves. I also own both types of the old shirt and prefer the one with the zipper in front.
Form fitting or looser fit? Looser fit
If you presently own a shirt and/or pants, are you satisfied with the quality? Yes
How do you feel about the present logo and design? I like the present logo and design but would not buy another identical shirt. I would be interested in buying more shirts with different designs.
Would you be interested in purchasing matching pants? Yes, depending on type. I prefer somewhat looser fitting pants over tights style ones.
There has also been some interest in getting a new supply of DVOA hats. Please let me know how you feel about that. I already have one of the hats, would probably not buy another unless it was a radically different type.
How about regular cotton t-shirts with our logo on it in addition to the official (and more expensive) club shirts? I would buy one if it was a medium to dark color (or multiple colors offered). I don't really like white or light colored shirts that much. -
Reply by Sandy on Tue Oct 18, 2011 at 12:39 pmWhile I most likely would not buy a DVOA shirt - unless the desing was significantly different and I really like it - I would be interested in a club warm-up suit. I know those can get pretty pricey though.
@Windwalker: the shirts with the flames on them were made when a group of DVOAers decided to go run the Jukola and Venla relays in Finland one year and we - those of us going - decided to have shirts made for the relay teams. We opened it up to others and took orders (and pre-payment) and then made one order. Here's some links to some photos and maps:

Been staring at these club shirt, over the last two years, as they go by me, I guess it time.
I would commit to one or possible two. I consider this, as part of a routine maintenance item for
me, The light tech shirt I curruntly use, are on it way out anyhow. My idea shirt would be similar
to road biker shirts, Loose, Short sleeves, with a long belly button zipper and with pouches in the
rear for odd and ends.
And on the wish list a pair of solid color matching spandex arm bands for the, cooler time of the year
Other wise whatever the group come up with.
What size(s) would you need (just an estimate)?
Large
If you presently own a shirt and/or pants, are you satisfied with the quality?
NA
How do you feel about the present logo and design?
It works. But I do prefer something, that is slightly brighter or light in color, somthing that has
more visability during hunting season and running in the road (Cars) for locating those small
deer ticks.
Would you be interested in purchasing matching pants?
Yes. Another routine maintenance item , It a much needed addtion to the tatter pants already in my
collection. I would consder one as long as it came with deep pocket and a velcro option on the ankle,
But If your talking spandex, it has to come with optional hidden form fitting under garment or a
longer team shirt.
There has also been some interest in getting a new supply of DVOA hats. Please let me know how you feel
about that.
Yes, especialy if had a long brim, to keep my glasses free of rain drop.
How about regular cotton t-shirts with our logo on it in addition to the official (and more expensive) club
shirts?
I would commit too , two of the large one.
No light running jackets. (Rain proof) ?
