Sunday's turning into a busy day for me with a tight schedule.

I need to be done running and on the road by 11:45.

I'd like to run red, but it looks a bit longer than some. I'm not familiar with the venue, so I'm wondering is 1:45 minutes enough to run the red with no major screw ups or should I plan on runnning green to be sure I'm done on time. Or could I possibly squeeze the 10 am start by a bit?

    Thanks, Mike

    Mike.

Check last year results and RouteGadget to get better idea. It is rather fast venue.

Thanks to all for some great courses, and the new map.  Really enjoyed getting into some new terrain.

Thank you, Nancy Sharp, for fixing my registration/result printout woes.  Moral: don't get so distracted that you forget to register before starting!

Thanks for letting me run early, and getting my reg/download squared away.

It was a beautiful day for sure.

I was doing pretty good until... there always seems to be one... I just got it in my head to look at the wrong spot, after that didn't work after two passes, I decided it was someplace else. Turns out I walked within a few feet of the control twice and just didn't see it. Finally on the third pass and 27 minutes later I tagged it. I was pressed for time which didn't help my hastiness.

I was pretty surprised at the results considering my 27 minute control. It looks like 12 on red was a problem for a few. I stood there in the multiple depression and didn't see any controls, I studied the map and was convinced I had gone too far. I looked across the creek to see if I could see any features of the open ground over there, I climbed higher to get a better view, and was about to head back when I noticed the control nicely tucked in. I was within  a few feet of it for a few minutes trying to figure out what to do next. Did anyone else take the creek bank for a route choice from 11 to 12? That were some slick rocks. Almost ended up in the creek a few times.

Great course Wyatt, tougher than it looked like comparing it to the map from last year. Oh and thicker!

    Thanks guys.

    Mike

Kudos to Wyatt and Angelica for a fine event!

It did help, though, that the woods were better than I expected (my first run at Evansburg)

Yep, I was one of the three that found the feature, but not the control for Red 12(56). Strange,
to be standing on the feature, but, well, that just isn't good enough!

And yep, I took the creek bank, and yep, very slippery. Only time on the course when I
wished I was wearing cleats, instead of my Merrills.

Wyatt: Great course! And all without using the downstream east side. My thanks to all
who made it possible, including the weatherman!

    Dave.
