I'm looking to send out press announcements for future events for the fall season.  But I need lead time and ideas for placement.  So event directors, as soon as you have your check mark (ie permissions and permits), contact me and I will get something out promptly.  Unfortunately, publications require some lead time and do not always use everything that gets sent to them.  Sometimes, like at Norristown Farm Park, we get lucky and the venue is eager to help with publicity.  We can also supply simple generic posters if the venue has a trailside bulletin board.

..and if you are sure that permission has been obtained let me know so I can add the checkmark.  Often several weeks go by without me knowing it has been obtained.

I have publicity materials for both the upcoming September 18 event at the Water Gap and the 2012 North American Orienteering Championships at the Water Gap.  I will bring stacks of flyers for both events to the FCE event this weekend.  Anyone that thinks they know of a place to distribute some is welcome to take some.  If you aren't coming to FCE but have somewhere in mind, email me and I'll figure out a way to get some to you.  I'm thinking of places like REI, EMS, trail races, adventure races,  outdoor clubs at schools, anything.

I can put some at Spokes Bike Shop in Shoemakersville, they are always busting me that I never ride on Sundays anymore cause I'm always running around the woods looking for flags...

Sandy, are you going to the convention?  If not and you want me to hand them out up there you can either bring them to FC tomorrow and put them with my 3 drink cooler that will be at registration for me to p/u or you can mail them to me at home.  I will gladly make sure that the word gets out at the convention for you if you are not going.

I will be going to the CNYO events only and will bring a supply there to put out at registration.  I hope to find someone who will make sure there are plenty available throughout the convention week and the following weekend.

Sandy, I will only be at the convention but will gladly hand out the info for you if you can get some to me.  You could send it with someone coming from CNYO to give to me or you could mail me some.  Let me know what you want to do.  Also I will not be going on to Buffulo but I could pass it on to someone that is if you would like.
