    This Saturday's annual MASOC event was a success thanks, once again, to the tireless efforts and work of Mary and Mark Frank.  The weather was sunny and rather cold, but that did not affect the smiles we saw among the scout orienteers and adults.  We had uniformly positive feedback from everyone.  And, Ed Scott was there, too.

    Thanks should also go to the usual gang of DVOA helpers.  I know I will be leaving people out because I did not see everything going on, but I can mention Sandy Fillebrown, Ron Bortz, Dave Morgan, Petr Hartman, Bob and Pat Burton, Julie Keim, and Rob Frank.  My apologies to the helpers I omitted, but there were lots of people all over the place and I was mostly at the finish and in registration areas.
