Hi everyone—
Ian and I will be offering a one-hour Zoom training at 7 pm on Thursday, May 14th, for anyone interested in how we created our Mailbox Madness events. We plan to go over how to use OpenOrienteeringMap (which allows you to instantly make urban street-O maps using open-access data), how we added USPS blue mailboxes accurately, how to think about designing your map, and how to add to Usynligo.
These skills are broadly applicable and can be tweaked for non-mailbox-oriented events—I know Janet Tryson is interested in organizing a Hydrant Hustle in Emmaus! So we'll also talk a bit about how we incorporated non-mailbox controls (for example, the utility box murals in Phoenixville).
The Zoom link will be posted closer to the date. We plan to record the Zoom and also make written instructions available. But definitely respond here if you think you might be interested.
Thanks,Joey -

Unfortunately I'm not available live (I'll be on a horse at that time weekly) but I look forward to watching the recording. Hopefully we'll have Mailbox Madness Lancaster for one next year
