The first official Mailbox Madness run of the winter is this Saturday! Independence Mall—home to Independence Hall, Congress Hall, and the Liberty Bell—is right in the middle of the map. Mass start at 11 am for a one-hour score-O; arrive at start (in the center of Washington Square Park, between 6th and 7th Streets) fifteen minutes beforehand to collect your map and plan your route. Give yourself extra time for parking in this busy neighborhood.

Preregistration deadline is midnight tomorrow (cost is $5), but we will have limited maps available for walkups on Saturday for $10.

Happy New Year to everyone! I am not sure I can attend the Philly mailbox event on Saturday. But, I understand that the National Mechanics Bar and Restaurant is known for its Screwdrivers. Steve Mones

If anyone else avoids street parking like I do, the garage at 618 Market is $10 on Spothero for up to 12 hours on Saturday. This is a few blocks from both park and restaurant.
