HELP Needed S-MASOC36 Saturday May 3, 2025 + Control setting

Topic created by Orienteer7 on Mon Apr 7, 2025 at 8:09 amLooking for volunteers to help with control setting on Friday May 2, 2025 at French Creek State Park. (need about 3-4) We will meet near the park office at 10am. Phil Grant is the course setter for all but the Brown Course and will be there to help set controls. I will organize and have everything ready to go by about 10am. We will be hanging both normal epunch controls and posts with pin-punches at each control site so the work is a bit more complex. Generally there will be flagging at each advance site but the beginner controls are normally set without the use of pre-flagging.I also need a couple of people to set beginner type controls early Saturday starting around 7:30/8 am.If you can help with this let me know at orienteer7 at aol dot com.If you plan to volunteer to help with running the event please send me an email at orienteer7 at aol dot com and let me know if you have a job preference. You can run a course after the last starts which will be around Noon. There will be no water on the course or at start or finish so come prepared.The mass start for the scout score event is around 2pm.We will be using a partially updated version of the central portion of newly merged French Creek State Park map.Mark Frank
