Need Volunteer to support Kings Gap program for Women in the Wild

Topic created by Orienteer7 on Sun Mar 3, 2024 at 8:08 pmThe PA State Parks are sponsoring a series of Outdoor activities for PA Women in the Wild in each of the 4 State Park regions this fall. DVOA will be supporting French Creek State Park with an intro to orienteering on the weekend of 9/7-8/24. Kings Gap is planning their series of programs including orienteering on 9/14/24. As many of you know that is DVOA's annual training/camp-out weekend at Hickory Run State Park.If there is someone in the club that would not be attending Hickory Run but could support Kings Gap please contact me directly at orienteer7 at aol dot com. I would need to know by the end of March. I have a hilltop 1:5,000 map I have updated from the original King's Gap map that can be used for a simple beginner's course and the club can supply the equipment.Mark Frank
