Topic created by edscott on Tue May 17, 2011 at 12:50 pmWe need a course setter and event director of the FCE event in July. I'll be glad to advise the course setter on the parts of the map that are OK to use and what parts should be avoided due to changes since the last update to save a lot of woods time.

Reply by yoyonateo on Tue May 17, 2011 at 8:10 pmHey EDI am interested in getting my hands on some course setting. Since i am home all day and have all the time i need during the summer this seems like it would be a great event for me to get my first course setter experience. As for an event director I just might need one of those.FromNate

Reply by rgbortz on Wed May 18, 2011 at 8:06 amNothing better for the club than to have the young folks step up and volunteer. Thanks Nate. Now wouldn't it be perfect if a youth or new club member took on Event Director for this event also. Given that I have been ED and set several courses for FCE I am putting the offer on the table to mentor any new ED so they don't have to go it alone. It's really quite easy and fun to boot. Now who's ready to give it a try ?

Reply by bobburg on Sat May 21, 2011 at 9:22 pmAnd I would love to work with you as course consultant, Nate, if you'd like an extra set of eyes.
I had the best mentor (Eric W) from the start, and would love to pass it along.
You can reach me at bobburg@verizon.net.
