2021 HVO/DVOA Dual Event

Topic created by Guy-O on Sun Aug 8, 2021 at 11:56 pmHVO is planning an event at Silas Condict Park on Sunday, Oct 17.Since that appears to be an open date on the DVOA schedule, HVO would like to propose that the 2021 HVO/DVOA Dual be held at this event.Some background...It was HVO's turn to host the Dual in 2020; of course, due to covid that didn't happen.We considered suggesting that DVOA host at either Quail Hill (10/31) or Rutgers (11/14), but those dates conflict with WCOC events.Although it would alter the pattern of HVO hosting in even years, and DVOA hosting in odd years, since HVO was supposed to host the next Dual (ie, after 2019), it's reasonable for us to host this year's.I should point out that the event & date are still tentative, because we have not obtained the permit yet. The organizers, however, are confident that they will get it.Whaddaya think?

Beginner, intermediate and advanced courses will be available.Registration is now open! Please pre-register, as registration on the day is not guaranteed (it will depend on available maps and available start slots).

Reply by Guy-O on Thu Sep 30, 2021 at 2:59 amThe Silas event is still on, but it will not be the Dual, due to non-standard courses.DVOA's Quail Hill event on Dec 12 is the designated replacement, but that is still tentative.
