Our SVO Colonel Denning event (which will count for DVOA rankings) is coming up on Sunday, June 9th. It may be a bit of a drive for many of you, but we have the nicest and most open forest you will possibly ever see in the month of June. A full slate of courses is on offer plus a bonus sprint! Check out the schedule here or on our SVO website for all the details.

We could always use some extra hands at the event and for control pickup. The volunteer signup is available on the schedule and has many empty holes, or just let me know if you can help. Please consider giving a little of your time while you are out enjoying this great park!

This is a beautiful park.  Last time this event was run,  Bob and I camped there for the event .  This year it is closed for camping due to I believe installation of bathroom facilities in the campground. It also has a very nice lake for swimming and restaurants within 3 miles which we found 2 very nice places to eat.   If you have never been to this park ,  its definitely worth the drive.

Dave and I are doing Gettysburg before Col Denning.  As a life-long Pennsylvanian, I am embarassed it's taken me so long.  Looking forward to a fun weekend.
