DVOA Junior Fundraiser at Winter Meeting

Topic created by Orienteeringmom on Sun Jan 2, 2011 at 7:30 pmOnce again the DVOA juniors will be having a silent auction at the Winter meeting. So as you start the new year with cleaning and organizing your home keep in mind things that might do well at a silent auction for the juniors. It does not have to be just orienteering items it can be any item from your home that you feel will bring a couple of bucks for the juniors. Also we will have a table of paperback books for 50 cents. Come early to get you items displayed for all to see and enjoy some social time with club members or take part in a workshop that is being held before the pot luck dinner and winter meeting.
In past years there has been confusion in getting the money from the winners of the silent auction and getting items that didn't go back to the owner. So I am requesting that we quickly finish up the silent auction between dinner and the start of the meeting so that all is taken care of at the end of the meeting for all of us to go home.
Also I'm looking for one adult volunteer to handle this fundraiser and juniors to help with it as well. Please let me know if you are going to be able to do this for the juniors.
