On Saturday October 25th DVOA's Educational Services group will host a special training event for the Valley Forge Military College cadets at French Creek State Park. The advisor expects somewhere between 50 and 100 cadets.
The event will be generally around Hopewell Lake and the start and finish will be located in the playground parking area behind the Park Headquarters.
I could use some help with start and finish in the early to mid afternoon along with control pick-up which will begin sharply at 3pm. I will have some support from VFMC for this but could use a couple of hands. I need to get cleaned-up as soon as possible as I need to be at the Myrick Center that evening to help with the Night-O.
I will also be setting out controls Friday morning (10/24) for the event as I need to be at VFMC later that afternoon to set-up a training course and for general introduction/training program that evening on the campus.
Preliminary Schedule for Saturday 10/25/14
Depart Valley Forge NLT 0700
Arrive French Creek NLT 0800
Conduct On-Ground Orientation 0800 - 0900
Conduct Morning Course (short) 0900 - 1100 (3-person teams)
Lunch Break/Retraining 1100 - 1200
Conduct Afternoon Course (Long) 1200 - 1500 (2-person teams)
Recovery Operations at French Creek 1500 - 1600 (Retrieve Orienteering Control
Points, turn-in equipment)

Arrive Valley Forge 1700
