DVOA eBoard Usage Guidelines

Welcome to DVOA's eBoard! The eBoard provides a format for sharing, asking questions, complementing, and offering constructive criticism.

Anyone is free to read the eBoard, however, beginning in April, 2010 registration is required to post messages to the eBoard. When registering you will be required to enter a valid email address. Your email address will not be displayed on any web page. By default, other registered users of DVOA's website will be able to contact you via email, however, you can disable this feature if you wish.

Please keep the following guidelines in mind when using the eBoard:

  1. No profanity
  2. No selling or advertisements, unless strictly related to orienteering. Even then, any ads are at the discretion of club management and the webmaster.
  3. No flaming. There are no orienteering professionals - we're all volunteers. You may not agree with someone else's approach, but they're most likely doing what they think is best and doing it to the best of their abilities.
  4. Constructive criticism is fine, personal attacks are not.
  5. When creating a new topic, choose a short descriptive title that will entice users to read your post. Save the details for the body of the message.

It is not the intent of the webmaster nor DVOA's executive committee to play the role of censor, but they do reserve the right to delete any messages that do not follow the above guidelines.
