Judy just found something in the recent AARP magazine that might help us while Orienteering.  A study claims that Cinnamon improves our reaction time to visual cues.  Forget the Gator Aid, and load up your O bag with cinnamon gum. Wink

So Ed, are you saying we all need to be "Gumshoes" (Step 1, roll down O socks and insert Cinnamon gum into them), or are you saying that chewing said Gum ... while running improves the eye/brain  coordination?  Does this effect work with water, or do 'water stops' negate the affect?  Is regular Cinnamon OK or does one need the extra "Hot" cinnamon flavored, or will cinnamom gumballs (red hots) also improve the capabilty help?  Don't answer until I finish my last doublemint resin wafer.

I am loading up with cinnamon gum and heading out on the Big Red course next event.  Will there be packs of gum with the water at controls?  Or, maybe dispensers can be built into the e-punch boxes so that we could punch and get a chicklet.  Will gum ultimately be prohibited as a performance enhancing substance?
