We are sad to report the passing of another long-time orienteer. After a long illness, Demon has succumbed and we put her to sleep. She is now chasing squirrels and controls above the Star Village map. Our thanks to all of her friends around the orienteering world who have asked about her and supported her over the years. She went out in style, witnessing the inaugural event at Saucon Park on 4/21/12.

Good bye Demon.  It is hard to lose such a good friend.

    Sharon, Steve,

I really sorry to hear your lovely Demon is no longer with us. She was part of your family as well as part of our orienteering family. We'll miss her.

    Vadim.

    Steve & Sharon,

We are so very sorry to hear about the passing of Demon.  I know that the last year of so has been a roller coaster ride for her health but thought her had gotten the upper hand on it.  It is so hard to lose a pet that is so a part of the family like Demon was.  You know that we all grieve with you as Demon was also apart of our orienteering family as well.

Take care and we are all thinking of the two of you in your lost.

It is difficult to loose a pet,  they are part of our family.  You gave Demon a good life and Orienteering was a big part of it.  Take care   Pat , Bob  and Bobby Burton

I'm sorry to hear about Demon. I always enjoyed seeing her out and about at events. I think she was one of my favorite dogs (after my own of course)

I put together all of the photos I took of Demon over the years:  http://www.flickr.com/photos/furlong47/sets/72157629887459393/

Oh, how sad!  Demon was a truly wonderful dog who brightened up every meet she attended.  I'm so sorry for your loss, Steve and Sharon.

Thanks, Julie, for putting all your excellent photos together into a lovely tribute.
