We are always asking for more people to step up and get involved in our local events.  This weekend's event is two Newbies as course setter and Event Directors; Mike and Lisa Carter.  We need to support these newbies for a number of reasons but the most important is that they have a good experience and be willing to step up again to run a local event.  I know that a number of our regulars are away this weekend at the US Champs and Team Trials in GA so the rest of us need to step up and make sure that the Hawk Mountain Event this Sunday is a good experience for everyone that goes and all of the helpers.  I volunteered to train Lisa and support her for her first try at Event Director.  I'm doing all I can to help Lisa and make sure that Mike and her are ok for this weekend.  So far things are looking good but there is one big need for the event to go off smoothly and that is a volunteer to set up the Epunch at the beginning of the event.  This is one area that I have no knowledge of and can not help Lisa at all.  so PLEASE someone with this knowledge that is home this weekend step up and give Lisa a hand with the epunch setup.

    Thanks Janet.

We got all the bases covered and expect to have a great event.

I will add that Lisa said she may be interested in learning the e-punch stuff, but you didn't hear that from me.

Janet, thank you for being Janet, a just plain good person! John dewolf and I have the epunch bases covered. But it is also important that they have some runners too, so if you have friends up that way, ESP scouts, send them along! I hear we have some local publicity, but it is a long drive from dvoa land and the regular crowd is in Georgia.

Kathy, Glad to hear that John and you have the epunch covered.  I don't think there isn't much I could not help, Mike and Lisa with except for e punching and the computer, so you made me feel much better.  Thank you.  See you Sunday.
