New UsynligO Courses near Scranton

Topic created by gahlswede on Tue Sep 22, 2020 at 11:34 amI just uploaded some new UsynligO courses near Scranton. These areas have lots of bare rock and blueberry sections. In the summer, snakes are fairly common, but they've gone back into their dens with the recent cold weather. But, if you do happen to see one, just remember that they don't want anything to do with you. Just leave them be and they'll never bother you. Both maps have sections with healthy amounts of blueberry that make running difficult. They remind me a ton of Norway. I hope you can enjoy them with the fall colors!Greg

Reply by gahlswede on Wed Sep 23, 2020 at 5:34 pmArchery season for deer starts on October 3rd. But as long as you're wearing bright orange clothing, that's not a problem.Muzzleloader for deer and bears is from October 17 to the 24, but you can still go out on Sundays.Special firearms are included in the muzzleloader season. And rifle doesn't start until late November. I avoid the woods completely during rifle season except on non-hunting Sundays.I'll take down the courses for muzzleloader and rifle season. Until then, enjoy! You can see PA's hunting seasons here: https://www.pgc.pa.gov/HuntTrap/Law/Pages/SeasonsandBagLimits.aspxAnd you can check the WMU of the place you're traveling to here: https://www.pgc.pa.gov/Wildlife/HabitatManagement/WildlifeManagementUnits/Pages/default.aspx
