See other post for the details.  Weather looking good for Saturday.  (This post is just a shameless bump to the top of the eboard list)

Reserve your boat and reserve your map.

Boat reservations:  610-933-1421  (prices on previous post)

Waiver for the boat rental:  http://www.canoeandkayak.biz/images/waiver.pdf

(fill out the waiver ahead of time and you'll have to spend less time in line at the rental desk)

Map:   email me        chris (dot) hand (at) yahoo (dot) com             to let me know you're probably coming and I will print and laminate you a map and have it waiting for you.

Facebook event:   https://www.facebook.com/events/300840954610647/  if you want to share any thoughts/pictures

There is no time limit; start anywhere between 10 AM and 12 Noon.    Keep your boats out as long as the rental place will let you.   Take a splash in the river halfway through - it should be a nice, warm day.

If you feel like emailing me afterwards to say how many controls you found, great.

I will remove the control flags very late Saturday evening or maybe the next day.

We had a nice day of paddleing, with some navigation skills required. It was mostly determining which island was which, and which side to go on. Temps were in the upper 90's, and there was not much shade. The water levels were down, and my two man canoe got grounded a time or six. Since Chris warned us about that, I wore water shoes, and just jumped out and floated over the rough spots. Unfortunately, the water shoes are not made for orienteering, and my feet hurt on the land controls. The best part of the day, was that the boat rental is part of a bar/restaurant, and several orienteers stopped in for lunch afterwards. I have been reviewing our maps, and I can not think of one that a resaurant parking lot could be used for starts. All in all, I am glad Chris put this together. It was nice to be social, even at a distance. Thanks

My thanks to Chris for organizing and hosting this event, and I echo Steve A's comments about seeing fellow orienteers on the deck for lunch afterwards.  Great summer day.  Everyone had fun, and even the ducks seemed to enjoy the company.  Steve M

Same here, thank you Chris and thank you Steve Mones for putting up with me as I sent you right into a wall with my inept canoe paddling.  It was wonderful to see familiar faces after so long!  See you at French Creek!
