Due to a number of issues and problems John and I had to make the hard decision to cancel this coming Sunday's event at Elk Neck.

 The biggest porblem is we still don't have definite permission and there is no definite start area.  John worked all week on courses starting in the parking area near the water tower.  He is presently down there field checking controls site and spoke to a ranger who did not give John a good feeling about the start area he wanted.  Also in checking some of the yellow and orange control sites he has some real hesitation about those courses.  As John has to be out of town 3 days this coming week and I live over 2 hours away from the park, we felt that there just isn't any way that we can successfully pull everything together to make the Elk Neck event a good DVOA event.

John and I both hope to have this event at a future time as John has a good full set of courses he would like to use and I would like to be the event diretor for him.

We are sorry for this but there wasn't much else that we could do to make it happen successfully.
