It was a day for the juniors at Nolde as Grace Suhocki won the white course, Kirsten Mayland won the Choose-O and Sprint/Middle Hybrid Short Course, and AJ Riley won the Sprint, Head-to-Head, and (the wonderfully named) Sprint/Middle Hybrid Long Course.

AJ expanded his lead atop the ranking score table.  Vadim M. added two second places included his top ranked run of the year.

Despite only running three of the courses (after having done a tri earlier in the morning), Brad Colbeck moved into third place in the total points ranking, with 1535.28 points ahead of Sergei Ryzhkov's 1535.20.  There is the reward Brad asked for to recognize his great attendence this year.  Vadim Masalkov jumped in the top 10 and Kathy Urban moved up to 19th place.  Kathy Moss's three courses moved her into 22nd place.

uh that would be Lena in 19th while I have dropped down to a very sad 39th!

ps Sunday at Nolde I did something dumb  -- once I determined I was on a bad course, instead of turning around and returning to the last point I knew was correct, I plunged on off the map hoping to encounter something familiar.  I have very clear recollection of doing this as a 6 year old -- once at the beach and once at the circus. BUT I'M NOT GOING TO DO IT AGAIN!

Kathy -- nope, on the total score tab you are indeed in the very respectable 19th place!

Well I certainly like that better!  I didn't see that there were 3 tabs on the spreadsheet.  So can someone explain the difference between Total Points, Ranking Score and Scores >3 Events?

It?s pretty simple Kathy, the one you rank the best at is clearly the most accurate, all others are flawed! At least that?s how I see it!

Here is a link to the post describing the three systems.  Though Brad's interpretation is also valid Smile

(Note that the link within the old post brings you to the ranking as of the date of the post, not the current ones)
