Hope to see you all at Rocky Ridge this Sunday for a full set of white through blue courses.
This is an SVO event using DVOA e-punch gear and counting for DVOA rankings.
If you are wondering about the conditions, when I left this afternoon after setting controls there were about 1-2 inches of soft wet snow left. No trouble walking through the snow, but a bit slick on downhills/sidehills. Small trails had <1in left on them, and larger trails were bare. Actually the trails are easier to see than they would have been with the fresh leaves. A bit muddy in places on the trails, but mostly just wet off the trails (the snow cleaned all of the mud off my shoes by the time I was done).
Sunny areas like the parking lot and the area in front of our pavilion were all snow free by the time I left. The woods were beautiful out there today. Amazing visibility. I saw all sorts of landforms and rock features that I had never appreciated before.Plus one really awesome decorated tree in the middle of the woods - you'll have to come and check it out.Samuel -
