Won't this be fun to see the never-ending-summer come to a close and run the woods in brisk autumn air -- currently projected to be a sunny 60 degree day!!!!  Invasive stilt grass will be withering away, maybe the leaves will start to change, and Quail Hill will be an ideal place to start Autumn orienteering.

Since we are hosting the Annual NJ Scout Championship (with nearly 150 local cadets joining us in the "general public" category, tuning up for their Oct 27 JROTC Championship at Tyler), our Core Staff will certainly need and appreciate extra hands to help out.  Please reply to me directly (bburg at comcast dot net) or go to the volunteer page to add your name.  The Camp will certainly be jumping, and everyone volunteering can run their course for free, before or after you help us.

Here are the Course Stats to whet your appetite....

    White 2.00k 72m 11 ctrls
    Yellow Short 2.46k 70m 11 ctrls
Yellow Long 3.11k 92m 13 ctrls - preferred Yellow for club members and general public
    Orange 4.14k 104m 15 ctrls
    Brown 3.66k 114m 12 ctrls
    Green 5.04k 168m 16 ctrls
    Red 7.67k 248m 23 ctrls

P.S.  Just remember that QH is a 1:5000 map featuring 2.5m intervals.  So in preparation, keep repeating, "I will not overrun my first few controls....I will not overrun my first few controls....I will not overrun...."

    See you in the woods....
