Found ticks after 4 Mile Circle.  Be sure to do full body tick checks on everybody.

I've seen Fles & Tic Collars for dogs. Why not humans? Have they tested the dog collar on hummans?
    Anyone willing to try?

I think dog collars aren't even recommended for dogs any longer. :)

Permethrin is fairly safe and effective on clothing. Sawyer SP602 is a nice version.

Bob R   "1"   Ticks "0"  Found said tick at the Finish area talking to other finishers.  after removal, I did violent things to it with the flat top of a sturdy DVOA stapler.  Yell

Well, in addition to how warming weather wakes up ticks into looking for a meal....

Sunday was fun!!  A little cool early, but nice sun midday, till only the last finishers and those packing up had to put layers back on as clouds and breezes rolled in together.  We had a nice array of help so the event went smoothly once the last minute control set-up was complete. Hope everyone attending had a great time and enjoyed their courses.  When we next use 4 Mile Circle (probably 2 years from now?), the entire map will be revised.  Next year at Brendan Byrne, on to Pakim Pond.

Big thank you's to our crew who made the day so easy for all of us.  Robert Hesketh manned the computer etc. then Kathy U relieved him to go run a course.  Tim W started at Start, then Tom O offered to take over without even being asked to.  Bob Burton and Bob Rycharski helped set-up everything and greeted eveyone at Registration.
Kathy U, her visiting sister Mary, and Dave U filled in in all sorts of ways throughout the day, then to my eternal gratitude split the kit with Kathy Moss and together their 2 cars hauled everything back to DVOA heartland.

(By the way, if you didn't notice, we had 3 Bobs and a Robert, and then 2 Kathys -- which made for some interesting responses to "Hey, Bob......" and "Kathy, do you know....")

Dave and Mary and Kathy M and Lena and Robert graciously and quickly completed pickup.
Thank you all. It was truly a great day in the woods.

P.S. Now all you blueberry buds and Mt Laurel blossoms just on the verge of bursting, go ahead now and turn the terrain into unbroken emerald with all the sun and warmth this week.  Thank you for holding back until we were leaving.
