Hey, the weather prayers are working. No 4 inches of snow. The woods are GORGEOUS.
We could use a few helpers if you have an hour or so to spare, that would be great.

I have never driver there, is the Park Road signed or obvious from the route 23 state road? just makig sure I (and others) can get there, any one can chime in on the correct directions (please)

Thank you all for a nice time in the woods!I sure hope Bob found it. The drive is mostly pretty easy (just follow 23) but the turn off of 23 is a bit obscure. Looks like a driveway until you are right there! Attack points: You pass a pull-off on the left next to a wooden sign for the park. The speed limit drops to 35mph. You pass a church on the left, quickly followed by 2 small ponds next to each other. Then you are "in town." Keep your eyes peeled, the little road is on the left, and an O sign will point to it from the right. If you end up going all the way through town and steeply uphill, you missed it, and you are on your way to the turn-off for French Creek!Once you do make that left, all is easy. You cross a little bridge, and then there is a huge sign for the park leading right in to the parking lots.

I am a DVOA member, but also a Garden state model RR member, and I needed the extra directions so I could get in quickly and out to cover a Rail Road Show in North Haledon, NJ. Better directions to a Warwick park I had never visited before was the expectation. I hope someone at DVOa woud yes have said the park road is at the store front such an such. I was lucky, I could not see the street sign, but at the last second I saw the O sign arrow, an overshot the left turn, had to back up 10 feet, lucky that there was no one behind me or else I wouuld have had to take a long U turn as the warwick directions were IMO vague. Anyway, I am sure the ED mary Frank can tak a breather from her other DVOA duties and rewrite the Warwick directions from - just follow your nose (silly giggle) ... to 3.x miles from route 100 or 2 miles from the Qwarwick traffic double helix circle (more guffaws). Just someone please realize that warwick is easy for you repeat softshoe visitors, its not so good for (4) us NJ newbies to that nice park

Reply by ErikEddy on Wed Apr 11, 2018 at 6:35 amGoogle Maps gives wonderful directions. Clicking on the event name on the schedule pins the start location or just search the park and look for O signs when you are close.

Reply by furlong47 on Fri Apr 13, 2018 at 10:44 pmAn idea for future reference: when I'm going somewhere new, I often look at the directions on Google Maps and then use the street view feature to actually see what the intersections and nearby landmarks look like so I will know when my turn is coming up once I get there in real life. Doesn't work for everywhere (some locations still don't have street view photos, but most do, even some really obscure and rural areas.)
