We've arrived at a log jam with DVOA's April 15th events.  So I am polling all of you to find out when you would prefer us to re-schedule the Four Mile Circle event (aka Pakim Pond - Brendan Byrne State Forest in South Jersey). On Apr 22 or Apr 29?  Which of those weekends would more likely attract your attendance?

Backstory:  I am currently re-mapping major portions of the Four Mile Circle map, opening up substantial areas I've needed to totally avoid in our last two 4 Mile events in 2013 and 2015.  I've found such very cool areas, plus networks of features that were never mapped or have dramatically (or significantly) changed since 2005-2006. And since much of it is near our staging area, all levels of courses will use the revised areas.

On the other hand: We have potentially 2 National Events in nearby Northeast in late April.  West Point on Apr 22 is not yet sanctioned, but who knows.  And NEOC is hosting the Junior Nationals in Holyoke MA on Apr 28-29.  Are you planning to attend one or the other? or both? or neither?

It would be very useful to us if you respond. In effect, you can schedule this event with your responses.  With the debut of a largely revised map, I'm hoping for the largest Four Mile Circle attendance we could hope for.

If you prefer, please email me directly at bburg at comcast.net.

I personally don't think the attendance  will be good in new jersey with 2 other events.  I am working the following weekend  but Bob says he could help  and maybe I could try for a schedule switch.

Having said that  ,  I see the schedule is full of A Evets the following weeks  which means those working for those events may not be able to fit us in.

Pat, thanks for your concern.  I've already decided to move Four Mile Circle to either Apr 22 or Apr 29.  So hope one or both of those dates are available to both you and Bob.

I'm receiving some replies to my request for feedback, and once I find out more about West Point (nothing but a strong rumor for now), I will post which date I chosen, and get it up on DVOA's schedule.

    Happy New Year!

I would prefer 4/29.  (Will be overseas 3/23-4/21 and am unlikely to be unpacked by 4/22.)

Take all the time you want to unpack, Robert.  You don't have to hustle over to the NJ Pinelands until April 29, which is now officially the date for our Four Mile Circle event.

Thanks for the feedback from those who posted on the eboard or got in touch with me personally.  And thanks to Col Read, who just today confirmed that West Point is indeed finalizing getting Apr 21-22 sanctioned.
