Topic created by Nancy on Mon Oct 2, 2017 at 5:21 amThanks to Tom Overbaugh, course setter and then some. Tom set some nice courses. According to one experienced orienteer, his Brown course was the second-most difficult one he had experienced. (Wait: is that a good thing or a bad thing?) In addition, Tom took care of many of the event director's responsibilities, making my job much easier. That included purchasing apples from a nearby orchard, a delicious treat on a beautiful fall afternoon.We had a busload of JROTC folks from Crow's Neck, NJ; it was great to see so many young competitors at one of our events.It appeared to us observing at the pavilion area that most participants had a good time.

The courses looked sublime; I know the one I did was fantastic. Forest liked his course, too, although he didn't fully appreciate the care that went into it. Of course, the cookied were his favorite part of the whole thing.
