Saturday is the DVOA summer picnic at Rustic Park in Birdsboro.  A fun afternoon of orienteering camaraderie.

Pre-picnic, Bob Gross is setting up a 25 point score course with a special twist that I'll keep you in mystery.

The course will require some creek crossings so it would be a good idea to pack some extra socks.  If you want to stay dry you can cross on the cable wire bridges.

10AM: Registration Open

11:00 AM:  Mass Start 1

11:30 AM : Mass Start 2

12:20 PM : Course closes (will pick up at 12:30)

~12-12:30: Summer picnic with membership meeting to follow

The course is recommended for experienced orienteers, though you can make your own adventure as all points are optional.  Official time limit is 50 minutes with penalties for finishing late.  If you don't care about your score and want to stay out longer, please start at 11AM as pick-up will be prompt at 12:30 PM.

Help:

I posted the volunteer list.  It would be great to get some help in the morning setting up and if a few people can do control pickup before/during the summer meeting that would be great.  Grill Master, anyone?

The Urbans have to miss the picnic because of a prior family commitment, have a great time.
