Topic created by RogerMartin on Fri Mar 31, 2017 at 4:42 pmWhy do I see signs all over the Norristown Farm Park for April 9th for an orienteering event and nothing in the event schedule? The posters on the bulletine boards actually DVOA. Just curious.

Reply by ErikEddy on Sat Apr 1, 2017 at 9:30 amI believe Mary frank is doing a beginner program that day. Looks like it got taken down by mistake. I'll confirm and post on schedule.

Reply by ErikEddy on Sat Apr 1, 2017 at 9:39 amIt's 'training' for the senior games. Very cool orienteering is apart of the games. Thanks for pointing it out

Reply by Orienteer7 on Tue Apr 4, 2017 at 8:36 amPlease note that the April 9th Norristown Farm Park event is a beginner event and not a full course event. There will be instructions at 10am. Mary Frank is doing this event. She will also be at Perkiomen Park (near Oaks, PA) on Saturday for a beginner event. She could always use help either day with getting people out in the woods. It is my understanding that Valley Forge Military College will be at Perkiomen Park as an introduction to getting their club off the ground. Also I will be at Gov. Dick Park on Sunday offering an indoor beginner instructional program at 10am there in conjunction with the full local event.Mark Frank
