Ocad Map Making Software Training - Full Day Session

Muscoot Farm - Katonah, New York
    Friday, April 21, 2017
(same weekend of the West Point A meet)

I have just made arrangements for a full day comprehensive, hands-on training session using the Ocad mapmaking software.
Program will be held at Muscoot Farm in Katonah, New York. The facility has a classroom with Wi-Fi so we can set up computers and access data via Wi-Fi
Program is ideal for all levels of users -beginners through experienced users

You do not have to be an Ocad owner or even have a computer with you to participate in the session. We will have some loaner computers with Ocad installed.

Program will be presented by Ed Hicks of Orienteering Unlimited who is Ocad’s North American support and sales person since the early 1990s when the software was first initiated.

This will also be an ideal opportunity to learn the software and experience field work techniques (including using a tablet computer with GPS).

If you have an interest in participating please contact Ed at edhicks@orienteeringunlimited.com or by calling 914-248-5957. Calls accepted between 8 AM and 11 PM New York time

Ed also mentioned that he'd be willing to come to DVOA land to do a training if there is enough interest

I have often considered using OCAD, but the cost for little old me is rather prohibitive.  There are some really interesting areas in Allentown I would like to map and consider for possible future events.  Does the club have a "group license" that can be used/shared?
