DVOA Winter Social and Meeting

    DVOA's winter meeting is tentatively set for Saturday, Jan. 21 (pending confirmation from host site).

    We typically offer several info sessions/discussions in the afternoon before a potluck dinner, followed by a meeeting.

    Afternoon session: Are there any topics you would like to see addressed during the afternoon? Post your suggestions here. If you'd like to lead one of the sessions, let me know.

    Potluck: For those of you who haven't attended in the past, attendees bring a dish to share for the potluck, anything from appetizer to side dish to CrockPot dish to dessert. 

    Meeting: will include a review of some key activities in the past year, plans for the coming year (DVOA's 50th anniversary) and an election of a new director. Dave Urban's five-year terms ends in 2017. If any one reading this is interested in serving in this role, please use the link at the left to send me an email. We also recognize outstanding orienteering performance. You can use the Rankings page on this website to see who might be leading contenders.

    I would love to see a presentation by Vadim and Greg about rogaine route choices, good and bad.  Sandy too.  It would be entertaining and informative and they won't be giving anything away to their competition because nobody in their class will be there (I think).  They could talk about what to carry and not carry also.  If not a presentation, then maybe a Briar Patch article.

    Would also like to know schedule?  Specifically time for dinner and meeting. Possibly trying to pull off some heroic feats of time and location on Saturday and need to plan...
