My request for good weather on Sunday appears to be granted.  Sunny and a high of 64 degrees.

I am anticpating a good turn out.  As of 10-7, I don't have anyone to park cars in the morning.  It's a critical job. I'll also need someone to give some training to a small group of beginners around 11am.

I don't have any 2nd shift registration.  Erik has to leave around noon, so I will be on my own.  For control pick up, I'll need someone to see over the operation.

If you can't stay for the full shift, I will find someone to replace you or will be bouncing around doing whatever needs to be done.  If you can't commit to help until the day of the event, please see me, I may need some help.

    Thanks... see you on Sunday.

Steve Mones - I got your note and put you on the volunteer list for group instruction.  11:00-11:30.  I sent you a reply, but got a delivery fail notification twice.  Thanks.

For those wondering- the weather actually was quite nice for orienteering at Antietam Lake Park.  A little windy and cloudy in the morning, but dry, and eventually warmed up for the afternoon.  A little escape for those coming from rainy areas.

Special thanks to Diane.  I had a last minute work trip the week leading up to the event and a wedding scheduled after I volunteered, but we still pulled it off very smoothly.  Diane and Lauren led the way with map preparation and kit logistics while I was in Denver.

From what I heard everyone had a good time out there today discovering the beauty and hidden treasures of my local park.

Look forward to setting courses combining the Antietam and Pagoda maps at National standards on a re-done map next year!
