HVO Dual event

Topic created by edscott on Mon Aug 29, 2016 at 6:28 pmPlease note that the Dual Event at HVO will not be held at Silas Condict Park as origionally planned, but at another yet to be determined location. There is construction planned there this fall and the park is not available. It is their intent to keep the same date. The on line schedule will be updated as soon as we know their plans.

Reply by Guy-O on Mon Aug 29, 2016 at 10:10 pmSun Oct 30This unanticipated detour got me thinking...In another thread, I read that in Fall 2017, DVOA would be hosting the HVO Dual, the QOC/SVO comp, and a 50th anniversary National Event / Bash. Perhaps we could skip the Dual this year and resume next year -- hopefully, at Silas -- so DVOA would have one less item on your plate. Given that HVO has begun to hold National Events and Highlanders in alternating years, this would shift our Dual hosting to the Highlander years.If skipping is distasteful, you could host again this year, then we would host 2017 & 2018.Or we could just stick with Oct 30, but at a different location.I'm not saying that HVO would prefer to make a change; just bringing up some options, in case you would like to lighten your load a bit next year...
