There are not a lot of parking spaces in the C. H. McConnel Environmental Education Hall lot. If the lot full, park along the shoulder of Park Office Road.
If you are planning to do the mass start, please register by 10:30AM. I have an extra registration volunteer slot from 9:45 to 10:30 to handle the potential heavy traffic. If you are doing the mass start, please consider arriving early and taking this short shift. If you've never worked registration, I will help you get started.
We will also need some help passing out maps for the mass start. Check with Sam at the event and see if he has enough help.
I have two Boy Scouts and their parents arriving around 9:45. The boys are really excited about orienteering. They are giving up a white water rafting trip so they can orienteer. I’ll need a volunteer to give them some instruction and get them started. There is a slot to sign up on the volunteer position list for the Nolde Forest event.
I will need help to run the event, so please consider signing up for a position. Knowing that I will have help is my biggest worry. I always hate to have two shifts for Epunch, they are long shifts. If I break it into three, the middle shift has to start at 1pm. If you finish early or can pitch in and relieve the Epunch person, please ask if you can take over. I often see the same people doing that important job. I bet they would love to have a break.
