Thanks to everyone involved in putting on a great outing at Fair Hill over the weekend. It was a really nice day of warm summer orienteering at a great venue.

Agreed, thank you.  I thought the red course was set pretty well for the summer.  I got a good workout in with some good route choice and barely any stratches.  Now, I just need to study that dang superfence!

Also, a good venue to attract our friends from the south in their off season.. saw a few QOC members.

The yellow course was fun and interesting. I really have to work on pace counting, as I overshot one control and undershot another. Thank you to everyone who pitched in. A few folks just kind of drifted away when just 5 minutes of help would have been appreciated. Don't be shy next time.

Thanks to all who contributed to making this event happen!

Just out of curiosity, what happened to the water (or no water)?  I don't want to create any more "drama" than you've already had to put up with, but I would like to know what happened.

I am happy to donate at least 5 gallons of water for the next summer event if that would help.

Failure to understand/communicate/process to logical conclusions.  My responsibility, my fault, I accept it.  Correct at next opportunity.  Constructive feedback is appreciated.

No worries Tom! Thank you for putting on the event.  These things happen.  We are human, and volunteers too.

I enjoyed the Brown course.  Not real technical and didn't REQUIRE a lot of bushwhacking.  Was getting hot and tired on my way to #6 and wished it was a little further down the valley, but once I studied the map I see it was a better spot to be for getting to #7 than where I originally thought I'd have put it.

I sent the results to Vadim, who is responsible for posting results. He is attending the World Masters Orienteering Championships and will post them upon his return.

Browsing the results from Fair Hill & noticed strange numbers from #58. What happened?

I believe it was because that box was not syncronized before it was put out. It registered which epunch was there but didn't know when.  If I am wrong, I'm sure someone else will explain it better.

Looks like the box got synced - the splits seem to be in line.
