To all Troops and large groups planning to come to Quail Hill Scout O and DVOA regular O meet on Nov 13th.

Note: Scout units MUST pre-register by seeing my posted Forms on www.scoutorienteering.com

PLease note that DVOA and USOF members will pay a $1 surcharge at Quail Hill Nov 13th, to cover a camp permit 101 rule to help pay for ranger/caretaker - services and bathroom (with running water) upkeep.

After 5 Nov, any unit registering later than that will be paying a "late sign up" fee.  DVOA and USOF club  members are welcome and do not have to register with me EXCEPT to help as event volunteers/map reading trainers on 13 Nov.
As I saw the wonderful DVOA volunteer turn out at Washington Crossing  SP Scout and DVOA event, I am not worried so much ... about the volunteer spirit at DVOA, weather you use the DVOA electronic web sign up (see the schedule page) or just email me separately that you will be lending DVOA members and the Scouts a hand.

Scout discount Details upon request (leaders only please) after Friday, lets just say the posted Scout participation fees [$8 per] are about to  be 'discounted' from the already posted price,  by the ED .... as the event has 180 Scouts signed up, with details going to those leaders who are on record and have communicated with me by 12 noon on Friday 5 Nov.  Let me say that registrations for this usually small attendance NJ Scout event are doing well, and 150 Scouts and 30 High School cadets are already registered.  Well enough that - the map hiking entry fee can revert to pre ~2004 prices.)   I am flexible once my entry fee (camp charges a $1 entry fee per person)  and patch costs (boy they sure do nickle and dime us now that every thing from thread, shipping and patch backing going up  (is more expensive)).  Remember, first 250 Scouts registered get a Scout commenerative DVOA patch.  I sure wish someone in DVOA had a lower cost way to make the various DVOA patches from a generic pattern...

If the registration hits 250 Scouts, the posted Scout forms and registration will close without notice  (I need to keep room for DVOA club members and visitors) .  Leaders are further reminded about  - no Dogs in Quail Hill BSA camp, and that camping registration is not done by me, you must get your own/troop optional camping permits ... if desired from Monmouth council BSA HQ.  Hope to see you there with the topo maps in Manalapan.
