Mother's Day Thank You

Topic created by kathyu on Tue May 12, 2015 at 12:13 pmThank to everyone who made Orienteering at Norristown Farm Park a part of their Mother's Day festivities.We had a wonderful turnout, and we apologize to the kids who missed having a cookie at the finish. Certainly the large contingent who brought their bikes took us by surprise. Special thanks to Mary Frank who set the courses and to the Frank family, who put in all the work needed to have a great meet. I just came along when all the work had been done, but had fun with my two epunch apprentices, showing them the ropes. They are quick learners!We hope to see all your shining (sweaty) faces at Hammonds Rocks and Mount Penn as we finish up the month of May.

cool to see a good turnout for bike-o (and "non-advanced" event in general). Wish I could have made it.
Maybe we are onto something with some of our parks with good paved trails but limited off trail navigation. I hear Nockamixon might be next...
time to buy a map board dvoa?

The land controls and possibly some of the Canoe O controls that are right on the shoreline could also become a Score O. Loads of potential, but so far we don't have anyone to run the event or set courses.
