Hello, now that you local PA and NJ DVOA members have chased "FOXES" into there fox holes, how about ...

Helping 2 Chase some Quail?  Warning, they are small - hence harder to spot than a Fox; and take 'flight ' if suddenly (and very Noisey Flapping too) ... they are stirred up from there long winter naps.
Please come on over to help me and Bob Burg run this 14th annual event at Quail Hill Scout camp, helper positions are posted on the event pages.
Bob Burg has some excellant courses planned, all we need is a wee little member help  (HVO or DVOA help sought).  Thanks for your consideration or email me at  rrycharski345  at  optonline.net

Course notes, There was approx 5 inches of wet snow fall last Friday, but expected warm temps on thursdauy and Friday will eliminate if not all most of the snow. Unfortunately water swamps and streams will be quite full. So this year, I feel my streak of 15 years great O meet weather is now on the Line.  It has neither rained or snowed on a local meet I am "involved" with as ED or CS since 1999 in Lewis Morris co park.  Come over Sunday to see if my fair weather magnet - "streak" holds or is broken. I serve you a meet workers ... endless - cup of hot chocolate if that what it takes you to join us and other vol's from DVOA...

LATEST UPDATE - Except for some encrusted piles of snow, all snow is gone and warm rain on Thursday promises to "disappear" the rest.  I've completed substantial revision of the Quail Hill map because of the many changes in vegetation, especially the 100+ new rootstocks thanks to Sandy 2012.  So this will be almost a map debut.

VOLUNTEER HELP - We could especially use e-system help and a beginning of the day crew to welcome and manage all the scouts and cadets who usually arrive early.  As added enticement, we won't be under a tarp in the woods.  This year we move to a swanky new pavilion near the archery range with Start and Finish close by.  Come help us make this a seamless and fun event for everyone.

Oh!....and a new posting with all the course stats should be up on the homepage later today.  They are fun courses on a map that now reflects what you'll actually see out in the woods.

As Ed Scott reminded us last week (e-board, to Volunteer,;when coming to occassional O events!)
I have only 3 volunteers from DVOA, including myself.  Can not clone myself or Bob Burg... I have offers of Scout leader help (untrained) but Need a registration helper (with me), and 2 beginner trainers and lots of other simple duties (see the Schedule page for the Wish list).  New members, this is how one gives back to DVOA  (to play one has to help), I need help, after 3 monthsbehind the scenes,  promotion at my keyboard and at the PR postoffice box, I seek member assistance.
I made a plan, can you offer me and the Scouts a hour or so assistance?  It will make all the difference in how these Scouts and HS cadets "see" DVOA events run smoothly.  Think about it, please.
