Not fit enough to run too much in the snow, it was very enjoyable to focus on the skills and keep off the paths after the first few controls and instead practice some good compass work and map reading. A nice way to start the season.

Reply by edscott on Sun Mar 8, 2015 at 8:42 pmYes.. well designed courses for snow covered woods. I was a relatively late starter and still had long stretches of trackless terrain to cover. Shows there were multiple route choices.

My favorite part was the large contingency of competitive young orange runners...nice to see so many young orienteers at the Start line that are truly into it! Good job promoting guys. -
