There will be a Free Introduction to Orienteering Class at 11AM (after the class you can try out a course!).
Check-in is under the pavilion at the north end of the parking lot (note that this is different from other years). You must wear a mask in the check-in area - thank you for protecting our volunteers and other participants! See the link above for required pre-registration. We really appreciate it if you register earlier rather than later.
Note: For COVID reasons there will be no water on the course or in the registration or finish areas. Please bring your own water out on the course. Stay safe.
While archery hunting is allowed in PA on Sunday Nov 15 this year, no hunting is allowed at any time at Gov. Dick. Still, not a bad idea to wear some orange in case of illegal archers.
The White, Yellow, Orange, Brown, and Green courses all stay on the northern part of the map, which is flatter, less rocky, and more open.
The GreenY, Red, and Blue courses go on the southern part of the map, which provides some of the club’s more technically and physically challenging terrain (one of my favorite and most frustrating areas for working on my skills).
The Special Course is a Yes-or-No-O, where for each control you must decide if the flag was placed in the correct spot or not.Special start window for those with high COVID risk from 9:30-10:30. General starts any time from 10:30AM to 1PM (Yes-or-No-O starts until 2PM). Control pickup will begin promptly at 2:45PM so we can finish before dark!
