Notes: White, Yellow and a fun Score course. Beginners instructional class will be offered at 11AM by Mary Frank.
ED/CS Notes:
Score-o map handout will be at 10:50AM (please register by 10:45), mass start at 11AM, and course close at 2PM.
Free Introduction to Orienteering Class at 11AM.
White and Yellow courses can start at any time from 10AM to 1PM.
Governor Dick is one of our largest maps, and this year we will be using all of that space by having a score-o/mini Rogaine. The park has a great variety of terrain, with a fairly flat, less rocky, but greener western part, lots of white woods in the steeper northern part, and loads of big boulders in the south and far east. With the score-o format, pick your favorite type of terrain and enjoy. The score-o format will also allow you to visit some neat areas that are hard to reach with standard courses.

Summary of Courses:
White and Yellow: Standard courses.
Orange: The score-o course has been designed to contain about 14 orange level controls in the same general area. Orange level controls will be denoted by having last number 1, 2, or 3. Of course even if you are an “orange” orienteer you are welcome to also try and find other controls as well - a score-o can be a nice time to try a few harder controls with no mis-punch if you don’t find them!
Advanced: The rest of the 37 score-o controls will be at the advanced level.
