Welcome to the DVOA/HVO Dual Meet at
Rutgers Ecological Preserve!
COURSE NOTES: Starts are from 9:30am to 1pm but courses will close promptly at 2:30pm to give us enough time to pickup controls before dark.
Rutgers Ecological Preserve has an extensive trail network to challenge beginners and create some interesting route choices for those on the intermediate/advanced courses. This is an older map and the vegetation is generally thicker than it appears. Avoid medium green, dark green, and green slash (vertical green lines) whenever possible.
To take advantage of the best this map has to offer courses loop over themselves and there are a lot of controls in close proximity in the more open areas. Check your clues! The Red course has a map flip part way through.
DVOA/HVO DUAL EVENT: This will also serve as the 2025 DVOA/HVO Dual Event so come out and support your club! On each course points will be awarded to the top three male and top three female finishers from each club running in their age category or a more difficult course:
White: F 12 and under, M 12 and under
Yellow: F 14 and under, M 14 and under
Orange: F 16 and under, M 16 and under
Brown: F 18 and under or 55 and over, M 65 and over
Green: F 20 and under or 35 and over, M 18 and under or 50 and over
Red: M/F any age
1st through 6th place for each gender (excluding any runners not associated with either club or not finishing in the top three for their club) will earn 6/5/4/3/2/1 points respectively.

- Day-of-registration is available, at $10 for beginners, and $20 for other courses.
All starts are from 10:00am until 1:00pm unless otherwise noted. Follow the text directions and look for Orienteering road signs as you near the park.
