ED/CS Notes:
Tyler State Park offers wide open fields with pockets of open forests which are full of trails. In short, finding controls will be very easy. For that reason the courses are on the long side and will feature route choice and map reading challenges.
That start area will be at the Hickory Nut Picnic Grove with nearby "comfort stations" that have running water. There is no pavillion but there is abundant shade in the start/finish area.
A special running of the blue course will be the Tyler Goat Sprint. This exciting event will feature a mass start at high noon and a 12 control mini-sprint where one control can be dropped. Accurate map reading and efficient execution of route choice will be necessary for victory.
