ED/CS Notes:

The Myrick Event in West Chester, PA, will be taking place on Sunday, September 9th as planned, and we are still looking for volunteers.  If you've never volunteered before, today would be a great day to start!

Volunteer at Myrick

We will have bathroom facilities in the barn across the street.

Thanks to Vadim for designing these courses, and Clem for vetting them.  They look really fun!

All courses

Myrick is a beautiful place. It is a mixed-use facility, with active agriculture. Currently, there are sunflowers, corn, soybeans, and more being grown across the rolling fields. Many are nearing maturity. We attempted to indicate where some of these crops are being grown with vertical purple cross-hatching on your maps. We may not have gotten them all. Please use your best judgment and do not go into or across any field that has crops larger than grass planted.

There is one corridor where a number of courses may cross a field. It is indicated with a “crossing point” symbol to draw your attention to this approved and useful passage. There are also two places—a footbridge and a passage between two fields—indicated with a purple X. The footbridge is broken (but you can go next to it), and the passage is overgrown, but might be negotiable for the brave.

The advanced courses cross themselves a lot, and may visit the same control more than once. Please be careful to punch each time, and read carefully to your next control so that you don’t go off in the wrong direction. We don’t want any accidental mispunches!

Finally, there is one water location. It is at a control, but this control may not be on all courses. If it is not on your course, it will be indicated with a cup symbol. All advanced courses go by it several times, and you can have a drink when needed. White and yellow do not have water on their courses, but we will have water for you at the finish.

Have fun!
