Notes: We will be staging this event at the only pavilion in the northeastern area of Core Creek (just west of the tennis courts) so that ALL courses navigate through the nicest open woods in the entire park...and for the three advanced courses, the new far NE corner, which debuted at our 2022 event. and though the bathroom next door is closed during cooler months there is a portable just 100m away. On all coures, while official lengths are computed "as the crow flies", your actual routes will definitely twist and turn around lake inlets and intricate trail choices through varieties of green, all with minimal climb. Orange-Brown-Green-Red will visit updated portions of the park rarely (if ever) used before, while the longish Red (short Blue) course visits most of the park - stretching from the far NE to far SW corners of the map, and we chose this time of year (after all invasive grasses have wilted away), making many more clearings accessible for courses and route choice. So we invite you to come navigate new areas of the park (as one of our attendees March 2022 described to me) "I never knew existed". See you in the woods. And a Special Assurance for Those Who Computed in 2022: Concerning the scale snafu I sprung on all of us last year, the map scale for this year's event will truly be 1:7500 (and printed as such on a larger page) to make map reading easier while navigating this feature-full map.
