DVOA welcomes you to a special mid-summer training event at Springton Manor Farm park in Glenmoore PA. Besides offering the usual challenges of competition, Springton Manor Farm is a compact park with a great map for learning about orienteering or "taking it up a notch." In addition to the usual competitive courses, there will be several short training courses to try out on your own or with help. Orienteers of all ages and experience levels will be volunteering to help less experienced orienteers get better at this challenging sport. So, if you've never tried orienteering, or want to move up to an intermediate or advanced course, this will be a great time to do it.
In addition to providing extra training opportunities, we are especially interested in getting new families and juniors introduced to the sport, and our one-time special pricing structure reflects that. For this event only, the following map fees apply (a team sharing one map pays only one map fee based on the least expensive member).
Juniors (under 21) — $4
Adult (non-DVOA) — $12
Adult (DVOA) — $7
This includes use of the special training courses (re-using maps) as well as a full competitive course with electronic timing and take-home map. As always, drinks and snacks will be provided. Where else can you get expert instruction, hours of fun, and refreshments for a couple of bucks?
Pre-register at this website by July 16th for a $1 per map discount. Pre-registration is optional and there is no pre-payment required--this will just help us print enough of the right maps for everyone.
DVOA members--we're hoping for a great turnout and your willingness to share time with others before or after your own runs. Just come ready to help and learn.

- Day-of-registration is available, at $10 for beginners, and $20 for other courses.
