Our national federation, Orienteering USA (OUSA), offers the Livelox route comparison tool for all their member clubs. In order to add your own route for comparisons:
1) Create a free account on livelox.com. There’s no reason at all to get a paid account because OUSA is paying for a country-wide subscription.
2) During the race, record your run using a gps watch (or phone app).
3) After the event, download the GPX, TCX, or FIT file for your track from the website that your watch/app manufacturer uses for that purpose.
4) Go to the Livelox event set up for that day. The link for each event is posted on the DVOA eBoard, and we sometimes also have a QR code on the results printout. You can also search Livelox by club or by park name.
5) Upload the gpx file there, or allow Livelox to “fetch a route file” from Garmin Connect or Strava. Livelox doesn’t allow any track adjustments. You can then view (replay) your track or anyone else’s, compare routes for the entire course or individual legs (legs), compare with another runner (duel), view splits (table), etc.
Livelox has help articles that describe how to set up automatic uploads from Garmin, Strava, and some other devices. See the Livelox website pages Help for Athletes and FAQ for more information.
